Communication about COVID-19
Since camp happens in a close community we have always taken great care to develop and maintain medical practices to address a variety of communicable diseases, both common and rare. The policies that we have long had in place will be revised as additional guidance on COVID-19 is released from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and our local health authority.

What is going on with camp?

Is camp open?
For the safety of our staff, camp is not open to the public at this time. If you would like to arrange a tour, sign up for equestrian lessons, volunteer with us, or you have questions about our fall programs or employment call our office at 989-673-2050.
What about camp programs?
We are planning to run our weekend respite camps September - May as long as we are allowed to. Weekend respites have always been smaller in number which allows us to follow best practices from the CDC, American Camp Association, and OSHA . Small groups, pre-camp screening, social distancing, modified activities, increased sanitation, and masks inside will help us provide a COVID conscious program. Is camp taking phone calls?
We currently have limited staff at camp. If you call and do not get a staff member please leave a message on ext.112
Will Camp survive?
Unfortunately, canceling summer camp has had a significant financial impact on The Fowler Center. Our "off season" programs are very small; it is our summer program that allows us to employ our wonderful year round staff. Our office will be operating at reduced hours during the fall/winter season so that we can continue to provide respite programs for families. We will be having a few fundraisers and have started an Adopt-an-Animal program. Consider telling your friends and family about our mission and asking them to partner with us during this difficult time if they are in a position to do so.
