Weekend Respite Camps

  • The Fowler Center holds weekend respite camps from January through May, and again from September to December for children and adults with special needs. Each weekend offers activities with a themed focus, along with the other program activities offered throughout the year. Weekend camp begins at 6:30 PM on Fridays and ends at 2 PM on Sundays.

Hello Weekend Campers!

We are excited to announce our 2011 Weekend Camp dates. Weekend Camps are an opportunity for campers to make friends, participate in new and different outdoor activities all while learning and expanding on their own creativity, problem solving and life skills. It gives families a break as well. Above all, The Fowler Center is a great place to have fun!

Every weekend is themed differently around the season and month. Winter at camp is filled with sledding, snow sports & ice fishing while the Springtime gives us a chance to get out and plant flowers, go for hikes and take a ride on the pontoon boat. Fall finds us enjoying the beautiful colors of Michigan with nature hikes, campfire snacks, trips up the accessible Tree House and pumpkin carving.

All Ages Dates: January 20-22, 2012; February 10-12, 2012; December 14-16, 2012

Youth (ages 6-26) Dates: March 9-11, 2012; April 13-15, 2012; May 11-13, 2012; September 14-16, 2012; October 12-14, 2012; November 16-18, 2012

Adult (ages 21 & up) Dates: March 23-25, 2012; April 27-29, 2012; October 5-7, 2012; November 2-4, 2012
