Volunteer Job Description -- Minimum Age Requirement: 16 years old
PROGRAMS A. Assist Program staff in planning and implementing
1. Daily activity (including, but not limited to)
a. Creative Arts
Sensory stimulation, group and individual projects ceramics, nature crafts, paper art, drawings, candlemaking, creative dramatics etc.
b. Outdoor education
Nature study, nature arts and crafts, sensory stimulation, initiative/adventure games, ecology, Native American and early settler lore, building habitats, interpretive hikes, nature appreciation etc.
c. Organic garden and barnyard garden
planning and upkeep, animal barn study,recycling and composting projects, ecology projects, wildlife study etc.
d. Sports and recreation
fitness goals, individual and group aerobics/fitness, team sports, individual sports, intercamp, tournament, gymnastics, archery etc.
e. Waterfront
swimming, boating, individual games, group, games, fishing, water environment appreciation etc.
f. Equestrian
animal care, barn upkeep, equipment cleaning and care, side walking, back riding (with training) and leading during sessions, overall camper safety, observation and supervision.
2. Evening programs
assist with set up of overall program, lead activities, assist with clean up (snack, tables, chairs, campfire etc.)
TEAMWORK A. Orientation
1. Staff training/meeting (weekend)
2. Meeting (summer camp)

B. Maintain positive working relations with every member of the staff.

C. Notify Volunteer Coordinator of any concerns as they arise.

D. Maintain positive attitude and encouragement with others.
