ICE FISHING UPDATE:
Hello all. Unfortunately due to ice conditions and the weather we will not able to hold our 25th Annual Ice Fishing Contest on Saturday, February 15th. We did not come to this decision lightly as it is one of our favorite days of the year. This past weekend Rob & Susie Trott walked all over the lake with us to measure the thickness of the ice. What we found was 3.5”-4.5” all over. We were hoping that if we got some good cold days this week we might still have a chance of holding the event. However, the mild temps Monday an the snow Sunday along with the forecast forced us to make the decision to cancel. Safety is most important out on the ice and 3.5”-4.5” is not sufficient for the amount of people we normally have out there drilling holes.
In lieu of this fundraiser we will be holding a chicken dinner on March 21 at the KofC hall in Caro.
